An arsonist probably set most of the wildfires scorching central Florida, officials said Tuesday.

Five weeks without any substantial rain has raised the wildfire danger in Polk County.

Gov. Charlie Crist is expected to visit fire-torched areas of Brevard County on Tuesday after declaring a state of emergency for the next 60 days as crews battle wildfires in Brevard and Volusia counties.
